Escape to Kakheti, Georgia’s famous wine region, on a full-day journey filled with history, culture, delicious food, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable experiences. This tour is perfect for travelers who want to discover authentic Georgian traditions while exploring some of the country’s most beautiful destinations.

Our adventure begins with a scenic drive from Tbilisi through the beautiful countryside towards Kakheti. Along the way, we’ll make our first stop in the charming village of Manavi, known for its vineyards and local products. Here you’ll have the opportunity to taste traditional Georgian churchkhela and other regional delicacies while enjoying views of the surrounding vineyards and rolling hills.

Next, we visit the welcoming village of Badiauri, famous throughout Georgia for its traditional bakery. Here you’ll participate in a bread-making masterclass where local bakers demonstrate how authentic Georgian bread (shotis puri) is baked inside a traditional clay oven called a tone. You’ll watch the entire process and enjoy freshly baked bread straight from the oven. If you wish, you can also purchase local cheeses to create a delicious traditional Georgian snack.

Our journey continues to the peaceful Bodbe Monastery, one of Georgia’s most important religious sites. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and overlooking the Alazani Valley, the monastery is dedicated to Saint Nino, who introduced Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century. Take time to admire the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful architecture, and spectacular panoramic views that make this monastery one of the country’s most beloved landmarks.

From Bodbe, we travel to the picturesque town of Sighnaghi, often called the City of Love. Protected by ancient defensive walls with impressive towers, this romantic hilltop town offers narrow cobblestone streets, colorful wooden balconies, charming cafés, artisan shops, and unforgettable views across the Alazani Valley to the snow-capped Caucasus Mountains. Enjoy free time to stroll through the historic streets, take memorable photos, shop for handmade souvenirs, or simply relax while soaking in the atmosphere.

Our final destination is Telavi, the heart of Georgia’s wine-producing region and one of Kakheti’s oldest cities. Here you’ll visit a traditional local wine cellar where you’ll enjoy a free wine tasting, learning about Georgia’s unique 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition and the famous qvevri method recognized by UNESCO. Taste several local wines while hearing fascinating stories about Kakheti’s rich wine culture from experienced hosts.

Throughout the day, your friendly English-speaking guide will share stories about Georgian history, traditions, religion, cuisine, and daily life, making every stop meaningful and enjoyable. Comfortable transportation and carefully planned stops ensure a relaxing experience suitable for solo travelers, couples, families.
