From Barcelona: Girona and Costa Brava Day Trip with Tim Small-group tour with Tim — maximum 8 guests

Come with me and discover medieval Girona and one of the Costa Brava’s most beautiful coastal paths on a relaxed day trip from Barcelona. With a picnic sandwich, GoPro photos and Tim as your guide!
Hi, I’m Tim, originally from England and now based in Barcelona. Join me for a day of medieval streets, Mediterranean views and a picnic by the sea. I personally guide every departure in English, with a maximum of eight guests in my air-conditioned Mercedes van.

We’ll start in Girona, where colourful houses line the river and narrow lanes lead into more than 2,000 years of history. During our walking tour, we’ll explore the atmospheric Jewish Quarter, stop at the impressive Cathedral steps and discover some of the locations used in season six of Game of Thrones.

Along the way, I’ll share stories about the city and Catalan traditions, with plenty of opportunities for photographs. We’ll see the Arab Baths, walk along the city walls for views over Girona’s rooftops, and return through the old town to cross the red iron bridge built by Gustave Eiffel’s company.

Cathedral and Arab Baths entrance tickets are included with the private option. For the shared tour, entrance tickets are optional and cost extra.

Then we’ll head to the Costa Brava, an area I know well from years of guiding coastal adventures here. Our one-way hike follows the coastline from Sant Feliu de Guíxols towards Sant Pol beach, beside S’Agaró, passing rocky coves, pine trees and viewpoints over the Mediterranean.

This is a chance to slow down, breathe in the sea air and see the coast on foot. We’ll stop along the way for a picnic baguette by the sea, before continuing to the beach for some free time. Relax on the sand or find a beachfront spot for a coffee or drink while I collect the van for our return to Barcelona.

I’ll take photographs throughout the day, so you can enjoy the views without spending the whole tour behind your phone. Afterwards, you’ll receive a private download link to the original, full-quality photos.

Expect an active, friendly day with history, local stories and time to enjoy the places we visit. There are cobbled streets, stairs and uneven coastal paths, so bring comfortable walking shoes, drinking water and clothing suitable for the weather.

The tour lasts approximately eight hours. Shared tours depart from Arc de Triomf in Barcelona at 9am sharp; private tours include Barcelona hotel pickup and drop-off, with the van and me exclusively for your group. Your picnic baguette and tour photos are included. Water, bar drinks, restaurant meals and additional food are extra.
