Hike through the forest and discover the ruins of a monastery dating back to the 1st century BCE. See large stone meditation platforms, a sophisticated hospital complex, and vast bathing pools, all built without traditional statues or stupas.
Due to its elevation and unique weather patterns, the reserve hosts rare flora (including wild orchids) and over 30 mammal species, making it an excellent spot for quiet birding and wildlife observation.
