After being picked up from your hotel, the adventure awaits:
You get into a small, open-top ATV, with the Taurus Mountains near Alanya in front of you.
First, you travel along wide, bumpy gravel roads. The buggy vibrates, small stones fly to the side, and the wind whips your face. You quickly realize: Driving is easy, but the terrain makes it exciting – every pothole, every bump makes the buggy jump. Dense pine forests to the right and left, with views of Alanya far below and the sea as a blue strip on the horizon in between.
Then it gets tighter: a narrow path winds its way up the slope, switchback after switchback. In front of you, you see the cloud of dust from the buggy in front of you; behind you, you hear the rumble of the other engines. You steer around tight corners, feeling the tires spin briefly as the path becomes steeper. In some places you drive close to rocks, in others the view suddenly opens up – deep valleys, green slopes, small mountain villages in the distance. Once at the top, a short break: engine off, silence. Just the crackling of the cooling engines and a stream somewhere nearby. You get out, your clothes are covered in dust, you're sweaty and grinning. Time for photos with the buggies in front of the mountain backdrop, a sip of water, a joke with the other riders, and then it's time to move on. Now comes the best part: the riverbed. The guide waves, gives the signal, and you roll one by one into the shallow water. At first, it only splashes lightly against the tires, then the ground becomes uneven, with stones under the water and small depressions. You step on the gas, the water splashes up above the hood, cold drops hit your face. In some places, there is real mud – you let the buggy go, and you feel it slip away briefly. Laughter and cheers from everywhere, the water, the mud, the noise of the engines – a pure sense of adventure. In between, you drive through puddles and muddy passages in the forest, the ground is soft, the buggy leaves tracks. Sometimes you have to grip the steering wheel tighter when a side slope or a deep groove appears. That's exactly what makes it so appealing: It's not dangerous, but you have the feeling that you're really off-road – away from streets, hotels, and beach chairs. Finally, the path leads back downhill. The air gets warmer, the dust sticks to your face, but you are completely in the moment: accelerating, steering, dodging, laughing. When you arrive back at the base station and the engines are turned off, you only then realize how loud it was. You get out, see your hands covered in dirt, the dirt on your glasses – and that's exactly what shows you how much fun you just had.
