From Entebbe: 3-Day Gorilla Trek in Bwindi & Lake Bunyonyi

Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi - The journey South
Your adventure starts at 6:00AM in Kampala. We pick you up from your hotel in our comfortable 4X4 Safari van. Our driver-guides are born in western Uganda and know every story and every pothole.

We drive via Masaka and Mbarara with a stop for a real Ugandan Breakfast-Rolex and fresh millet porridge-at Igongo cultural Centre, not just a fuel stop. Enjoy the changing Landscapes, from central savanna to the rolling hills of Kabale, known as the Switzerland of Africa.

Arrive in Bwindi in the evening. Check in your budget lodge on the edge of the forest for dinner and briefing for tomorrow's trek.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking - The hour that changes everything.
Early morning after breakfast, you will head to the UWA headquarters for briefing. Your gorilla permit ($800 value) and entry ticket are already included and secured by us.

With your guide, you will trek into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The trek can take 2-6 hours depending on where the gorilla family slept last night. Once you find them, you will spend one magical, strictly regulated hour with them. Watch mothers feed their babies, silverbacks protect the family, and juveniles play - only meters away from you.

In the afternoon, we transfer to Lake Bunyonyi - Africa's deepest lake with 29 islands. This is where our tour becomes exclusive.

You will spend ONE NIGHT CAMPING on an island in Lake Bunyonyi - an experience no standard hotel tour offers. Your tent is set up with mattress and bedding. Enjoy a campfire, traditional dinner cooked by local women, and stories under the stars. Fall asleep to the sound of birds and water, with zero light pollution.

Day 3: Lake Bunyonyi and mist over the lake. After a hot local breakfast at camp, you will experience Lake Bunyonyi like a local.

Board a traditional dugout canoe with a local guide. You will paddle across the lake, visit the famous punishment island, and stop at a fishing village where you will learn how locals live on the islands.
We then pack and start our journey return to Kampala, arriving around 8-9 PM with drop-off at your hotel.
