Descrição
Embark on a 6-day safari in Uganda, exploring national parks, trekking with chimpanzees, and experiencing local cultures. Enjoy game drives, boat cruises, and breathtaking landscapes.
Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel or the airport and travel to Kibale National Park in western Uganda. Enjoy a scenic road trip with views of tea plantations, crater lakes, and eye-catching hills. Stop in Fort Portal for lunch before continuing to your lodge for dinner.
Drive to the information center in Kanyanchu to receive guidelines about the forest, chimp trekking dos and don’ts, and other attractions in the park. After a briefing, be guided by a park ranger into the forest to search for chimpanzees. Spend 2-4 hours trekking. Explore the community of either Isunga or Bigodi, where you will visit the Batooro and Bakiga cultures as they perform their traditional dances, meet the traditional healer, and learn about local herbs.
Head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions and as the second largest national park in Uganda. Enjoy a game drive as you approach the lodge, spotting animals like elephants, herds of buffalo, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and bushbucks.
Embark on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you will spot crocodiles and hippos, birds like the African fish eagle, and elephants, antelopes, warthogs, and buffalo on the banks. Return to your lodge for an overnight stay.
Start an early game drive to spot early risers like lions, leopards, jackals, and spotted hyenas. Also, see elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and beautiful birds like the African mourning dove, swamp nightjar, and grey-headed kingfisher. Drive to the Ishasha Sector to catch up with tree-climbing lions.
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda, home to over 340 bird species and 120 mammals. Arrive at the park lodge in the evening for your dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, receive a briefing from the park warden about trekking rules and regulations. Trekking can take 2-8 hours and includes an hour while you enjoy the presence of these great apes as they play, groom, and feed. After trekking, be awarded a certificate at the office and driven to the lodge for lunch. Take a community tour to the Batwa culture to learn about traditional food, dances, and local herbs.
Transfer to Kampala, passing through the Kigezi highlands and farms for Ankole horned cattle. Stop in Kayabwe to visit the Uganda equator, where you can take photos, participate in a geographical experiment, and enjoy a hot lunch. Continue through coffee plantations in Masaka before being dropped off at Entebbe Airport or a hotel in Kampala.
