Beskrivning

Cross the Andes from Argentina to Chile on a scenic boat and bus journey. Travel along an ancestral route once used by the Huilliche and Mapuche peoples and connect Bariloche with Puerto Varas.
Begin your journey with transportation from Bariloche to Puerto Pañuelo, located on the Llao Llao Peninsula. Board a comfortable vessel and navigate for approximately one hour across the most important arm of Lake Nahuel Huapi.

Pass Centinela Island, where the remains of Francisco Pascasio Moreno—known as the father of Argentina’s national parks—rest. Admire the native forest and Blanca Waterfall before arriving at Puerto Blest.

Discover Blest Bay and the unusual green waters of the Frías River, colored by fine mineral particles carried from the glaciers of Mount Tronador.

Travel approximately 3 kilometers by bus through the Valdivian rainforest, following a winding road alongside the Frías River until reaching Puerto Alegre.

Board another vessel for an approximately 25-minute navigation across the emerald-green waters of Lake Frías. Arrive at Puerto Frías and complete the required Argentine immigration procedures.

Continue across the Andes aboard a specially equipped 4x4 bus, traveling through remote mountain scenery and lush forest until reaching Peulla in Chile.

Arrive in Peulla, an ecological mountain village located in the heart of Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park. Surrounded by ancient forests, waterfalls, rivers, and lagoons, Peulla offers a peaceful setting for a lunch stop.

In the afternoon, navigate the spectacular Lake Todos los Santos toward Petrohué. Weather, access, daylight, and park schedules permitting, stop at the Petrohué Waterfalls.

Continue by road along Lake Llanquihue before arriving in Puerto Varas, completing an extraordinary journey between Argentina and Chile by boat and bus.
