Day 2 – Paro → Haa Valley | Remote Mountain Roads
Drive towards the peaceful Haa Valley via the Chele La Pass, one of Bhutan’s highest motorable mountain passes. Enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges and stop for photographs along the winding mountain road. Explore Haa’s traditional villages and quiet countryside before continuing to your accommodation.

Day 3 – Haa → Thimphu | Mountain Passes & Capital City
Travel through beautiful Himalayan landscapes towards Thimphu. Stop at viewpoints and local villages along the way. After arriving, explore Thimphu’s traditional architecture, local market areas and riverside surroundings.

Day 4 – Thimphu → Punakha | Dochula Pass & Valley Landscapes
Drive over Dochula Pass, famous for its mountain views and 108 chortens. Continue downhill through forests and terraced farmland into the warmer Punakha Valley. Visit Chimi Lhakhang and explore the countryside before reaching Punakha.

Day 5 – Punakha → Phobjikha | Forests, Villages & Valley Views
Enjoy a scenic journey through mountain forests and rural Bhutan towards Phobjikha Valley. Visit Gangtey Monastery and take a gentle walk through the valley, known for its peaceful landscapes and traditional settlements.

Day 6 – Phobjikha → Bumthang | The Heart of Bhutan
Continue east through dramatic mountain roads, forests and highland villages. The journey itself is a major part of the experience, with frequent opportunities for photographs. Arrive in Bumthang and explore the surrounding valley if time permits.

Day 7 – Bumthang | Monasteries & Rural Bhutan
Spend the day discovering Bumthang’s cultural heritage. Visit important monasteries and traditional villages, walk through the countryside and experience the slower pace of rural Bhutan. Enjoy local architecture, prayer flags, farmland and mountain scenery.

Day 8 – Bumthang | Final Mountain Morning
