Levi: Off-Grid Aurora Snowmobile Expedition (Private Trails)

An Arctic night expedition inside a private 140-hectare wilderness area near Levi. Travel through darkness-optimized routes away from mass safari trails, stop at a private campfire base.
Please note that this experience has a sister product for guests who prefer to travel in a heated sleigh instead of a snowmobile. Due to system limitations, snowmobile and sleigh seats must be booked as separate products. If your group includes both snowmobile riders and sleigh passengers, please ensure availability is checked for both options before booking.

This experience is not a standard snowmobile safari on shared tourist routes. It takes place entirely within a private 140-hectare wilderness area reserved exclusively for our use, allowing us to operate in a quiet Arctic environment away from mass tourism trails. The private setting enables us to adapt routing specifically to night conditions, snow quality, and aurora visibility.

The evening is run as a small Arctic expedition with a maximum of 7 snowmobiles. This ensures a low-impact, quiet experience with flexible routing based on real-time conditions such as darkness, sky clarity, and terrain.

Before departure, you will receive full safety instructions and snowmobile driving guidance. You will then set off into the Arctic night in a small group, following routes selected for low-light conditions and open-sky viewpoints that offer the best chance to experience the northern sky.

During the expedition, your guide—an experienced Arctic photographer—will share practical guidance on observing and photographing the Northern Lights and winter night skies in real conditions. This makes the experience particularly suitable for guests who want to improve their night photography while enjoying the Arctic landscape.

At a secluded Lappish teepee-style campfire site, you will stop to warm up with hot drinks and experience the silence of the surrounding wilderness. When conditions allow, additional photography tips will be provided to help you capture the Arctic night atmosphere.

On clear evenings, there is a chance to see the Northern Lights above the snowy forest. Please note that the aurora is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed.

Each snowmobile is shared between two participants (tickets sold separately), with guests taking turns driving and observing the landscape. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid physical driving license accepted in Finland.

This experience is designed for guests seeking a combination of Arctic adventure, wilderness immersion, and practical aurora photography guidance in a private and uncrowded setting.
