From Diani: 2-Day Ziwani Sanctuary Safari with Camp Stay

Embark on a 2-day safari from Diani Beach or Mombasa to Ziwani Wildlife Sanctuary. Stay in a luxury tented camp, enjoy guided nature walks, and go on a night game drive to spot nocturnal animals.
Begin your adventure with a morning pickup from your coastal resort or hotel in Diani Beach or Mombasa. Drive inland along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway, transitioning from coastal palms to the red soils of the Tsavo ecosystem.

Branch off past Voi towards the Taveta route, arriving at the private Ziwani Sanctuary. Check in at Voyager Ziwani Camp. Settle into your luxury tent and enjoy a welcome drink overlooking the Sante River dam, a lively habitat for hundreds of basking hippos and crocodiles.

Enjoy a buffet lunch at the open-air dining area. Then, set out on foot with an experienced resident naturalist. Walking along the Sante River allows you to look at the finer details of the bush, identifying animal tracks, medicinal plants, and an incredible array of birdlife up close.

Return to camp for refreshments and watch the sunset casting a golden glow over Mount Kilimanjaro. Because the camp is on a private sanctuary, you can venture out after dark with powerful spotters to track elusive nocturnal predators like leopards on the prowl, genets, civets, porcupines, and bushbabies.

Have dinner under the stars and spend the night at Voyager Ziwani Camp. The next morning, enjoy an early morning game drive within the sanctuary tracking elephants, lions, giraffes, and diverse bird species.

Return to the camp for a hearty, leisurely breakfast while watching the hippos active in the morning light. Check out of the camp and enjoy a final en-route game drive through the sanctuary as you make your way out to the main highway.

Stop for lunch at a scenic restaurant along the highway back towards the coast. Drive back down to the coast, arriving in Mombasa or Diani Beach in time for your evening drop-off at your hotel or resort.
