New Year's Day Sunrise Train & Terelj Winter Tour

Celebrate Mongolia’s first New Year sunrise on a special January 1 tour featuring the Sunrise Train, Terelj, dog sledding, horse sleigh rides, a nomadic lunch, and the Chinggis Khaan Statue.
Start the New Year with one of Mongolia's most unique winter experiences.
Your day begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to Ulaanbaatar Railway Station and board the special New Year's Day Sunrise Train.
Travel out of the city toward Khongor Station as the winter landscape gradually appears outside the train windows.
After arriving at Khongor, head to the New Year's sunrise celebration area and wait for the first sunrise of the year. Experience the special atmosphere as the sun rises over Mongolia's vast, snow-covered landscape.
After the sunrise celebration, board the train again and return to Ulaanbaatar. The train normally arrives back in the city at approximately 11:00 AM.
From Ulaanbaatar, continue by vehicle toward Terelj National Park.
Visit a local nomadic family, where you will have lunch and experience a glimpse of traditional Mongolian winter life.
After lunch, enjoy two classic Mongolian winter activities: dog sledding and a horse-drawn sleigh ride. Experience the crisp winter air and snowy scenery while enjoying activities that are only possible during Mongolia's cold season.
On the return journey to Ulaanbaatar, visit the Chinggis Khaan Equestrian Statue, one of Mongolia's most recognizable landmarks. Explore the statue complex and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding winter landscape.
After the visit, return to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel.
