See a quieter side of the Gulf of Chiriquí on an early morning kayak tour from Boca Chica. Begin at Luna Azul with breakfast overlooking the bay as the sun rises over the water. Take your time over tropical fruit, specialty coffee from Chiriquí prepared in a French press, a freshly made hot dish, and a natural drink before heading out on the water.

After breakfast, meet your local guide for a safety briefing and a route recommendation based on the day’s tide. Launch from the resort’s private cove and paddle through calm morning waters when the gulf is often at its stillest. Over the course of 3 hours, follow a route suited to the conditions, either toward an island or islet to explore and enjoy the beach, or around uninhabited islets along the coast.

This is one of the best times of day for birdwatching and photography in the gulf. Look out for herons at the shoreline, kingfishers diving into the water, and pelicans flying low in formation. Your guide helps identify the wildlife you see, and binoculars are provided for closer viewing. After returning in mid morning, rinse off with the outdoor shower and continue your day from Seagull Cove Resort.
