3:00 AM – Arequipa

Departure from Plaza de Armas or pick-up from hotels in the historic center. Travel to the Colca Valley accompanied by our tour guide, who will introduce you to the history and worldview of the Andes.

6:30 am – Chivay: Breakfast and mate
Enjoy breakfast and taste a muña and chachacoma mate while learning about its traditional uses and importance in the culture of the Andes.

8:00 a.m. – Cruz del Condor
See the impressive flight of the Andean condor over the Colca Canyon. Learn about its meaning within the Andean worldview and its relationship with the Apus. Optional hike to the Cross of the Priest.

9:30 AM – Viewpoints and legends of the Colca
Tour the terraces, Huayrapunko, the Altahuilque lagoons, the Hanging Tombs, and the Peña Blanca vantage point while listening to ancestral legends, stories about the mountains, and traditions passed down through generations.

10:30 AM – Maca
Visit this traditional Andean village and the Church of Santa Ana. Learn about its customs, handicrafts, and local products.

11:00 am – Yanque Hot Springs
Optional visit. Relax in the hot springs and learn about their ancestral significance as spaces related to water, renewal, and purification within Andean traditions.

12:00 PM – Lunch
Enjoy lunch in Chivay and discover traditional flavors of the Colca Valley.

1:00 PM – Patapampa and high Andean landscapes
Visit the Patapampa Volcanoes Vantage Point, at about 4,800 meters above sea level, and take in the Andes mountain range. Stop at the Toccra wetlands to see alpacas and llamas. ✨ Apacheta – Connection with the Andes
Learn about the cultural significance of the apachetas and their traditional relationship with the trails, the Pachamama, and the Apus

Pampa Cañahuas – National Reserve
Travel through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca Nature Reserve and observe vicuñas in the wild while enjoying the volcanic landscapes of the highlands.

Approximately 05:30 PM – Drop-off in Arequipa
