Day 1: Puerto Maldonado – Jungle Adventure

Begin your journey with a transfer from Puerto Maldonado to Paradise Amazon Ecolodge by boat along the Madre de Dios River. Upon arrival, start exploring the rainforest with a canopy walk beside a giant Lupuna tree, offering panoramic jungle views and birdwatching opportunities ideal for photography.

Continue with a zipline experience above the forest canopy, followed by a traditional Amazon lunch and free time to relax. In the afternoon, enjoy kayaking on the Madre de Dios River and later visit Monkey Island, where different monkey species can often be observed in their natural habitat. Your guide will assist with wildlife spotting and photo opportunities.

After sunset, participate in a nighttime river excursion to observe nocturnal wildlife and caimans along the riverbanks before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 2: Lake Sandoval & Night Walk

After breakfast, travel toward Lake Sandoval Reserve. Following a guided rainforest walk, reach one of the most scenic lakes in the Peruvian Amazon. Explore the lake aboard a traditional rowing canoe while observing tropical birds, native flora, and wildlife. Depending on natural conditions, you may spot hoatzins, herons, cormorants, monkeys, and other species commonly found in the Tambopata region.

In the evening, enjoy a guided night walk through rainforest trails to discover the Amazon atmosphere after dark and learn more about nocturnal wildlife.

Day 3: Cultural Experience & Traditional Fishing

Begin the day with a visit to a local Amazonian community to learn about traditional customs, ancestral knowledge, and local craftsmanship. Photograph cultural elements and daily life in the rainforest. Later, continue by boat to a nearby natural area for a traditional fishing activity while enjoying the surrounding Amazon scenery.

After lunch at the lodge, the afternoon is free to relax, observe wildlife around the ecolodge, or capture additional nature photographs. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Parrot Clay Lick – Return to Puerto Maldonado

On the final day, depart early for a river excursion to the Parrot Clay Lick, one of the most fascinating wildlife experiences in the Peruvian Amazon. Observe colorful parrots and parakeets gathering along the clay wall during sunrise hours while enjoying excellent opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife photography. Guides will assist you in identifying the best observation points for memorable photos.

After breakfast at the lodge, transfer back to Puerto Maldonado according to your flight or bus departure schedule.
