After we take a scenic drive from Funchal towards the mountains, gradually leaving behind the busy coastal areas and entering a more peaceful and authentic side of the island, the forest. As we gain altitude, the landscape transforms into a dramatic mix of forest, valleys, and panoramic viewpoints.

Unlike standard routes, this experience follows a carefully selected forest road, offering a quieter and more exclusive journey through the mountains. Along the way, we stop at hidden viewpoints where you can enjoy breathtaking views over Madeira’s rugged terrain and the nun's valley where you can capture incredible photos.

As we continue to climb, we reach a magical point above the clouds. Here, we take a special break at a scenic viewpoint with benches, where you can relax and fully enjoy the moment. At this stop, you will have the opportunity to taste a local sparkling wine while surrounded by one of the most surreal landscapes on the island a peaceful atmosphere above the clouds, far from the crowds.

We then continue towards Pico do Arieiro (1818m), one of the highest points on the island and a perfect location to witness the sunset. As the sun begins to set, the sky fills with warm colors, creating a truly cinematic atmosphere.

For those who wish, there is the possibility to take a short walk (around 10 minutes) to reach the famous “Stairway to Heaven” viewpoint. This iconic trail offers dramatic views over the mountain ridges and is one of the most photographed locations in Madeira.
