Begin your journey from Tirana in the morning and head south through beautiful countryside toward Apollonia, one of the most remarkable archaeological parks in Albania. Founded in the 6th century BC, Apollonia flourished during Greek and Roman times and was an important stop along the ancient Via Egnatia trade route.

Explore the ruins of the theater, temples, city council (bouleuterion), and the museum set inside a medieval monastery. Your guide will share the fascinating stories of this ancient city and its role in regional history.

After the visit, continue toward Karavasta Lagoon, located within Divjakë–Karavasta National Park. This lagoon is the largest in Albania and a protected natural habitat famous for the Dalmatian Pelican, one of Europe’s rarest bird species. Climb the 360° Observation Tower for panoramic views over the lagoon, pine forests, and wetlands.
