Armenia: Noravank, Tatev, and Khndzoresk Tour

Begin your journey with a pickup from your hotel in Yerevan. Head to the Noravank Monastery, an ancient complex set against the backdrop of steep red cliffs. Admire the Martian landscapes, visit the Church of the Holy Mother of God, and see the tomb of the Orbelian princes.

Next, visit the Areni-1 Cave, where you’ll learn about its discovery and the valuable artifacts of ancient civilization found within it. Continue to the Shaki Waterfall, where you’ll enjoy the fantastic nature and hear the legend of the girl Shaki who escaped from captivity.

Then, ride the Wings of Tatev, the longest passenger cable car of the pendulum type in the world. Soar over the gorge of the turbulent mountain river Vorotan, connecting the village of Halidzor and Tatev Monastery. If you wish, you can ride it and look at Armenia from a height of 300 meters.

Visit the Tatev Monastery, a historical monument of the 9th century and one of the oldest and most famous monastery complexes in Armenia. Then, cross the Khndzoresk Swinging Bridge, 160 meters long and 1.5 meters wide. Stop halfway to enjoy the picturesque gorge.

Finally, explore the ancient rock settlement of Old Khndzoresk, where 15,000 people once lived. Discover both natural and man-made gorges and caves before returning to Yerevan.
