The bamboo fan, or Tuan Shan, has long been a symbol of elegance and grace in Chinese culture. Especially in Guangzhou, a city shaped by Lingnan traditions and its subtropical climate, bamboo weaving was not just a practical skill but an art passed down through generations.
During the workshop, you'll be guided step-by-step to weave your round bamboo fan using natural materials. No prior experience is needed — the process is meditative and creative, and you'll be amazed by what your hands can do.
I will assist you throughout the entire process in English to ensure you fully understand and enjoy the experience — no need to worry about the language barrier.
