From Durban: 4-Day Zululand & Ukhahlamba Safari Tour

Embark on a 4-day tour from Durban to Zululand and Ukhahlamba. Enjoy safaris at Thula Thula and Nambiti Game Reserves, visit Mandela Capture Site, and hike in the Ukhahlamba Mountains.
Day 1: Durban – Zululand Safari Experience
Depart from Durban at 6:00 AM and travel north into the heart of Zululand. Enjoy a morning game drive at Thula Thula Private Game Reserve, where you will have the opportunity to spot the Big Five along with a wide variety of wildlife in a beautiful natural setting.

After the safari, continue to the coastal town of St Lucia. Overnight at St Lucia Palms or similar accommodation.

Day 2: Big Five Safari Experience
After breakfast, travel to Nambiti Private Game Reserve for another exciting safari experience. This reserve is home to lions, elephants, giraffes, kudu, zebra, and many other species, offering excellent game viewing opportunities.

Return to St Lucia in the afternoon. Overnight at St Lucia Palms or similar.

Day 3: Cultural & Midlands Meander to Ukhahlamba
After breakfast, depart for Phezulu Safari Park to experience vibrant traditional Zulu dancing and cultural insights.

Continue to Howick Falls, one of the region’s most scenic natural attractions, followed by a visit to the historic Nelson Mandela Capture Site.

Thereafter, travel into the breathtaking uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park mountain region. Overnight at a hotel or lodge in the Ukhahlamba area.

Day 4: Ukhahlamba Hiking & Return to Durban
After breakfast, enjoy a guided hike in the spectacular Drakensberg Mountains, known for their dramatic landscapes, fresh mountain air, and scenic trails.

In the afternoon, return to Durban, where the tour concludes.
