Explore the capital city of Ethiopia and its surrounding lakes on a 2-day tour. Experience the vibrant culture, historical landmarks, and breathtaking landscapes just outside of Addis Ababa.
On day 1, be picked up from your hotel and start the city tour. Visit the National Museum, home to the famous fossil “Lucy” and other archaeological finds. Head to the Holy Trinity Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece and one of Ethiopia’s most important religious sites.
In the afternoon, visit the Ethnological Museum and the Palace of Emperor Haile Selassie. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Ethiopian dinner at a local restaurant, with a cultural dance performance.
On day 2, drive to Debre Zeyit (Bishoftu), located about 50 km from Addis Ababa. Visit the scenic lakes of Bishoftu, including Lake Bishoftu, Lake Hora, and Lake Adama. Enjoy activities such as boat rides, bird watching, and picnicking.
In the afternoon, explore the area further, visit a local village, and enjoy lunch by the lake. In the evening, return to Addis Ababa.
