Experience the essence of Rio in Pedra do Sal, a place where history, music, and joy come together in an unforgettable experience. It's considered the birthplace of samba and is full of Afro-Brazilian culture.
We'll stroll through its streets, briefly learn a bit about its history, and visit places like the Valongo Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was the main port of entry for enslaved Africans in Latin America.
Today, Pedra do Sal comes alive every week with incredible outdoor parties. Amidst laughter, caipirinhas, and live samba, locals and tourists dance together as one family; we include some shots to make it even better.
If you're shy and not very sociable, don't worry, the energy we create is enviable. The dancers and musicians will get you dancing like an expert. We'll have raffles for drinks and souvenirs, and you can have shots while we walk to our destinations. If you don't drink alcohol, you're also welcome to come and meet great people.
The meeting point is at Pedra do Sal (Largo de São Francisco da Prainha).

Depending on the time and day, our schedule may vary a bit.
On Fridays and Saturdays, Pedra do Sal is less crowded, but you'll still have a great time. The biggest and most famous party is on Mondays.
You can arrive after the activity starts, no problem, you'll enjoy it just the same.
