Journey on to the ancient Hellenistic city of Salamis, built in the 12th century BC, and unravel for about a mile along the shore, with its ruined temples, amazing theatre, and gymnasium.
Venture within the city walls to explore Famagusta and wander around the old town with its Venetian Castle, Othello’s Tower, and St. Nicholas cathedral. Then, take a guided walk through the recently opened to the public ghost town of Varosha - the once-bustling holiday resort which remained sealed behind barbed wire since the Turkish invasion of 1974.
