Brighten up your winter with, Cistern Illuminated, an immersive light and sound installation in the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern in Houston.
Step into the breathtaking underground decommissioned drinking water reservoir as it is transformed into a mirror-like world of color, showcasing the Cistern’s repeating columns and their uncanny reflections on the surface of the water below. A unique and original soundscape follows the moving lights around the cavernous Cistern.
Cistern Illuminated is designed by Houston artist and engineer Kelly O’Brien of Fenris.

Overfill parking is available in City Lot H, located at 1643 Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77007, just to the east of Fonde Recreation Center.
Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
