Day 1: Arrival and Axum stelae

Day 2 : Journey to Limalimo campsite
Travel by private vehicle from Axum, heading towards the Simien Mountains National Park.
The scenic drive takes you through the Tekeze Valley and up the Limalimo Gorge.
On arrival, stop in Debark to register at the park office and pick up your mandatory guide and scout.
Enjoy a relaxing evening at limalimo camp site and prepare for your next day's trekking
Day 3: Simien Mountains National Park
Low land trekking and wildlife
Set off from the lodge for a trek along the escarpment with your guide and scout.
Hike to scenic viewpoints like the Limalimo viewpoint and Princess Stop, where Queen Elizabeth II once visited.
Look for endemic wildlife, such as the Gelada monkeys, which are often found in the area.
Stay overnight at camp site
Day 4: Challenging Ras Amba hike
For a more challenging trek, hike towards Ras Amba, a peak offering spectacular ridge-to-ridge views.
Enjoy a packed lunch on the trail before returning to the lodge in the afternoon.
Consider a community visit to Limalimo village to experience traditional Ethiopian life, including a coffee ceremony.
Stay overnight at camp
Day 5 Departure
Have a final breakfast at Limalimo campsite , taking in the morning views.
Travel by road to Gondar, a two-hour drive, to catch your flight back to Addis Ababa.
