During this public guided walking tour an authorised Suomenlinna-guide tells about the 270 years of eventful history of Suomenlinna under the rule of three different states as well as the life on the islands today. The guide will take you to the most important sights of the fortress, such as the Great Courtyard and the Dry Dock, which in its days was among the largest in the world.
A ticket for the guided tour includes free admission to the Ehrensvärd Museum during its opening hours. You may visit the museum before or after the tour according to your own schedule.
The tours start from the Suomenlinna Museum. Duration one hour. It takes only 15 minutes to get to Suomenlinna from the Market Square (Helsinki City Ferry, HSL) and additional 10 minute walk at Suomenlinna to reach the Suomenlinna Museum. During May - September FRS Finland waterbus takes you to the pier next to Suomenlinna Museum, travel time 25 min.
