Begin your experience with a reindeer sleigh ride inside Santa Claus Village, where the route leads through the village’s own forest area at the Arctic Circle. Wrapped in warm reindeer hides, you travel at a calm and steady pace along a 2–3 km forest route, allowing time to enjoy the snowy surroundings just beyond the village itself. The traditional sleigh ride lasts approximately 30 minutes.
After the ride, the visit continues by the campfire, where guests spend around 30 minutes enjoying a warm drink and a light snack. During this relaxed moment, your reindeer guide shares insights into reindeer life, herding traditions and everyday life in Lapland.
This winter experience is well suited for families, couples and visitors looking for a calm and authentic reindeer encounter within Santa Claus Village, combining a forest setting with an easy-to-reach location.
The reindeer safari begins by meeting you reindeer guides at Santa Claus Reindeer, Santa Claus Village (Joulumaantie 13) 10 min before the experience itself stars.
