Your driver will take you to the Plateau de Valensole, one of the best places to admire the fields, take a stroll and, above all, photograph the scenery. Indeed, the lavender fields of Valensole are incredibly beautiful and worthy of postcards (only available in June and July).
Then off to the Gorges du Verdon, Europe's largest canyon, between the communes of Castellane and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, offering majestic scenery.
The Verdon River took its time and over thousands of years carved out this canyon, which can still be admired today. We'll go to the Galetas bridge, where we'll enjoy one of the finest views of the Verdon gorges and Lac de sainte Croix. As a special bonus, we'll take a pedal-boat ride on the lake - an unforgettable experience!
Then it's on to the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, nestled beneath a rocky cliff and surrounded by mountains on all sides. Known for its rich history in ceramic craftsmanship, you'll have free time to explore Moustiers at your leisure.
Browse the earthenware stores and buy souvenirs before enjoying lunch in one of the terraced cafés. Photograph the famous lavender plateaus or admire Lac de Sainte-Croix, an artificial treasure trove of clear water that is one of the most beautiful lakes in Provence.
Then admire the lavender fields as far as the eye can see at the foot of the Alps, and stop to take unique and memorable photos against this impressive backdrop. Stop to smell the light, enchanting aroma of lavender all around you.
After enjoying your excursion, you'll return to your vehicle, which will take you back to your point of origin in Aix en Provence.
