Chartrons was at the centre of Bordeaux’s wine trade, millions of barrels of wine were rolled down the rue Notre Dame and loaded onto ships from its bustling docks.
Our tour starts on the quayside where our expert guide will lead you through the history of Bordeaux's docks and introduce you to its colonial past.
Next, take in the sights of this historic quartier while you walk to a local bakery with a 300 year old oven!
