Our certified glacier guides lead lead you across a frozen landscape of ridges, crevasses, and sparkling ice formations. As you make your way, hear stories of how the glacier is always changing, carving out new features with every season. This season we discovered the Azure Ice Cave! Step inside to see arched walls glowing in shades of aquamarine, textures smooth as glass, and the kind of natural beauty you’ll want your camera ready for. Pause, take photos, and simply enjoy the magic.
After time to explore and take it all in, hike back across the glacier together, returning safely to the parking lot where the tour began.

The tour starts and ends at the Sólheimajökull glacier parking lot.
Special glacier crampons for shoe sizes below 35 EU are not available, as they cannot be securely attached to smaller footwear.
The meeting point for this tour is at Solheimajokull Parking lot by the big yellow school bus. To ensure a smooth start to your glacier adventure, please arrive at the meeting point 10-15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Make sure you plan to allow enough driving time. We advise you to check out the weather and the road conditions before you leave. Remember it's your responsibility to arrive on time. Drive safely and stay informed on conditions!
