In the afternoon, head to the Elephant Conservation and Care Center, a peaceful sanctuary dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused elephants. Walk through the center with a trained team member, learn about the elephants’ stories, observe their medical care and therapy sessions, and witness how they live freely without chains. You may be able to watch their bath time, depending on the schedule for the day. This is an ethical sanctuary. You may observe the elephants from a close distance, but touching, riding, or feeding them is not allowed.
