Experience the best of Central Java in one unforgettable day with this private full-day cultural tour. You’ll visit two of Indonesia’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites — Borobudur and Prambanan Temples — and explore the rich royal heritage of Yogyakarta with a guided visit to the Sultan Palace (Kraton).
The tour lasts around 8 hours and includes all entrance tickets, a private car with hotel pick-up and drop-off (from either Yogyakarta or the Borobudur area), and a knowledgeable English-speaking driver to guide you through the day.
The tour begins with a visit to Yogyakarta’s Sultan Palace, the heart of Javanese royal culture. Arriving in the morning allows you to catch the traditional cultural performances held between 9–11 AM, such as gamelan music, wayang puppetry, or classical dance.
After the palace, your schedule will adjust based on the Borobudur Temple entry slot, which is assigned by the official booking system:
If you have an early Borobudur session, you'll head there next, followed by lunch and a visit to Prambanan Temple.
If your Borobudur session is in the afternoon, you'll first visit Prambanan Temple, break for lunch, and end the day at Borobudur.
Your driver will ensure the timing flows smoothly while maximizing your experience at each location. After the tour, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel in Yogyakarta or the Borobudur area, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
