Start with a guided cycle around the iconic Peace Park and A-bomb dome, where your guide will provide a commentary on the evocative and thought-provoking surroundings. After a taste of Hiroshima’s feudal past at Hiroshima Castle, set off by train to board a ferry transfer to Miyajima Island (boat ticket included).
A beautiful contrast to Hiroshima city, Miyajima’s lush greenery provides the perfect backdrop to the island’s spectacular orange Shinto buildings. Once docked, take a walking tour of Miyajima, learning about how the island developed as a religious center as well as exploring the numerous picture-perfect lanes and photo opportunities.
The cycling section of the route is completely flat, and suitable for anyone who can ride a bike. In addition to a fleet of Trek brand bikes in a range of sizes, also offer step-throughs and child-sized bikes to accommodate all riders.
