Meet your guide in Tokyo and start your adventure with a 5-hour walking tour. Visit 2 to 3 sights of your choice, such as the historic Asakusa district, the bustling streets of Shibuya, or the peaceful gardens near the Imperial Palace.
After the tour, your guide will drop you off at Jidaiya in Asakusa for a 1-hour traditional wagashi (Japanese sweets) making class. Learn about the history of wagashi, which dates back to the Edo period, and how these seasonal sweets reflect the Japanese calendar and aesthetics.
You'll use sweetened white bean paste, Japanese yam, and glutinous rice flour to knead, mold, and shape your own beautiful confections. These sweets are often called "the art of the five senses" for their elegance and subtle beauty.
