Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
We’ll pick you up from your Nairobi hotel for a briefing before setting off north toward Samburu. Upon arrival at Samburu Sopa Lodge, you’ll enjoy lunch, then an afternoon game drive. Look out for the unique animals of Samburu, like the Grevy’s zebra and Somali ostrich, alongside iconic African wildlife like elephants and lions.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu
Explore the rugged terrain and riverine forests of Samburu on thrilling morning and afternoon game drives. Search for the “Samburu Special Five” and other animals along the Ewaso Ng’iro River, guided by your expert safari guide. In between, relax at the lodge and soak in the landscape that has captivated so many.

Day 3: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, leave Samburu and travel to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, famous for its efforts to protect endangered rhinos. Arrive at Sweet Waters Serena Camp in time for lunch, then enjoy an afternoon exploring the conservancy, which also includes a visit to Kenya’s only chimpanzee sanctuary.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart Ol Pejeta in the morning and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arriving around midday, you’ll check into Lanet Matfam Resort before an afternoon game drive. Here, you’ll spot vibrant flamingos, endangered rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and more. It’s a birdwatcher’s paradise with unforgettable landscapes.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, travel to the peaceful Lake Naivasha. Or, take a walking safari on Crescent Island for a different wildlife perspective.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara National Reserve
Journey to the famous Masai Mara, arriving at Rhino Tourist Camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll set out on a game drive in this world-renowned reserve, home to lions, elephants, giraffes, and, if lucky, all of the “Big Five.” The Maasai people and their cultural legacy are as captivating as the wildlife here.

Day 7: Full Day in Masai Mara
The day is yours to explore the vast Masai Mara. Head out on morning and afternoon game drives, or opt for an unforgettable hot air balloon safari at an additional cost of $450. You’ll witness the beauty of the Mara from above, followed by a champagne breakfast upon landing.

Day 8: Masai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast, say goodbye to the Mara as you return to Nairobi. The Jossec Safaris team will see you off at your hotel, concluding this thrilling journey through Kenya’s most famous parks and reserves.
