The Kenya Bomas offer displays of traditional dancers and spread over many acres, they also have a wonderful display of traditional Kenyan mud huts and houses. The Kenya Bomas is the ideal place to bring energetic children as they can run freely in and out of the traditional houses and mud huts, climb stairs and generally have a wonderfully active time.

These traditional houses are grouped into groups according to the region. The dwellings are grouped together with the first wife’s hut, the second wife’s hut, the barn, etc. and you can see where the livestock is kept and the huge variety between the huts.

Bomas of Kenya was started in 1971 after Kenya's independence (1964) and is run by the Kenyan government and aims to promote Kenya's rich cultural heritage. In addition to the main attractions (the dancers and traditional farmhouses), there is also a large wooden play area for young children, a small and discreet village of craft shops and other attractions.
