Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Nairobi. Journey to Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate National Park, with a break to enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley from a scenic viewpoint along the way.
Arriving at the park at approximately 9:00 AM, begin a 2-hour guided walking or biking tour. Keep an eye out for beautiful rock formations, herds of Thompson's gazelle, eland, zebra, giraffe, warthog, and wildebeest as you ride.
Keep an eye on the skies throughout the tour as Hell's Gate National Park is home to more than 100 species of birds, including Verreaux's eagles, ospreys, vultures, and ospreys. Continue on foot to the park's signature gorges, where narrow passages and caves sink into the sedimentary rock.
After an hour's walk, depart for Lake Naivasha, then head for lunch (own expense). For an additional fee of $25 per person, you can explore the wildlife of Lake Naivasha on a 1-hour boat tour. Watch for the hippos that stay on the surface of the water and see some of the diverse birds; African fish eagles, lesser flamingos, African spoonbills, and little napkin are common here.
At 16:00, start the journey back to Nairobi and end the day with a drop off in Nairobi at approximately 18:00.
