Your adventure begins in the early morning with a comfortable transfer from Chiang Rai (pick-up time 05:00-05:45, please be ready by 05:00 by the lobby/parking lot) to the Thai - Lao border, where our team assists you through the smooth border-crossing process. Once you arrive in Huay Xai, you’ll board your premium, spacious, and serene riverboat. Guided by a knowledgeable local team who accompanies you throughout the journey.

As the boat glides downstream, you’ll immediately feel the shift in pace. Sit back and enjoy the landscapes of northern Laos unfold, quiet villages, jungle-covered mountains and the timeless rhythm of the river, luckily, wild elephants in there natural habitat! Throughout both days, enjoy a complimentary Laotian lunch and fresh seasonal fruits on board, along with refreshments to keep you comfortable and energized.

This premium experience includes exclusive stops at small riverside villages where you’ll meet local communities, learn about traditional ways of life, and capture authentic moments that most travelers passing through never see.

You’ll spend your first night in the riverside town of Pak Beng, with free time to explore this small village, watch the sunset over the Mekong and enjoy dinner overlooking the river.

On day two, the journey continues deeper into Laos, and one of the highlights awaits: a visit to the famed Pak Ou Cave Temple, home to thousands of Buddha statues hidden inside limestone caverns. Your guide will share the cultural and spiritual significance of this sacred site, adding depth and meaning to your visit.

Float the final stretch into Luang Prabang - a UNESCO World Heritage town known for its temples, markets, and gentle atmosphere and nature, arriving in the late afternoon (17:00-18:00), refreshed and enriched by two full days on one of Asia’s great rivers.
