Explore Trakai and the Hill of Angels on a live guided bus tour from Vilnius. Learn about the key events and periods that have shaped the modern identity of Lithuania and hear some great music.
Come on a historical and musical journey of Lithuania, covering the Teutonic Knights, a union with Poland, basketball, the Soviet Union and much more! I want you to understand the key events and periods that have shaped the modern identity of Lithuania, the beloved country I now call home with my wife and son.
On the journey you will drive through the Soviet-era blocks as well as the UNESCO heritage site Old Town of Vilnius.
Whilst in Trakai (2.5-3 hrs) there is an optional restaurant visit with me to sample some Lithuanian classics, but also free time for water activities, exploring the castle (10€) and visiting shops.
On the return we will briefly stop by the Hill of Angels, built in 2009 as a site for promoting devotion and spirituality and to celebrate the 1000-year anniversary of the first written mention of Lithuania.
