Leave Kuala Lumpur in the afternoon and travel by private vehicle to the historic city of Malacca, a UNESCO World Heritage destination known for its Portuguese, Dutch, British, Chinese and Malay influences.

Your experience begins with a comfortable drive from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca. As you approach the historic center, your chauffeur will introduce you to the city's fascinating history and its role as an important trading port along the Straits of Malacca.

Begin your exploration at St. Peter's Church, one of Malacca's historic Portuguese-era landmarks, before continuing towards the famous Dutch Square, also known as Red Square.

Take time to see the distinctive red buildings surrounding the square, including the Stadthuys, Christ Church and Queen Victoria Fountain. This is one of Malacca's most recognizable areas and an excellent place for photographs.

Continue towards St. Paul's Hill, where you can explore the atmospheric ruins of St. Paul's Church and enjoy views over the historic city.

Walk down towards A Famosa, the remains of the Portuguese fortress that once formed an important part of Malacca's defensive system.

Before continuing into the evening, enjoy a selection of local Malaysian snacks and tropical flavors.

Your guide will introduce you to some of the everyday flavors found around Malacca, giving you a chance to try something local rather than simply looking at the city's historic buildings.

Continue into the historic Chinatown area and explore Jonker Street, one of Malacca's best-known streets.

Take your time to browse traditional shops, souvenir stores, cafés and local food stalls. You will have free time to take photographs, shop for souvenirs or simply enjoy the atmosphere of the old town.

Friday–Sunday: Experience the famous Jonker Walk night market when it is operating.

Monday–Thursday: Enjoy Jonker Street and the surrounding heritage area, local shops and evening atmosphere instead.

Next, experience Malacca from a different perspective with a ride on a traditional decorated trishaw.

Sit back as your trishaw driver takes you through the historic streets while the city begins to light up for the evening.

Continue to the Melaka River for one of the highlights of the evening.

Board the Melaka River Cruise and relax as you travel along the historic waterway. See bridges, waterfront buildings, cafés, murals and heritage areas illuminated after dark.

The river cruise offers a completely different perspective of Malacca and is a perfect way to experience the city after sunset.

After the cruise, enjoy dinner at a selected local restaurant.

Relax, try local Malaysian dishes and enjoy the evening atmosphere before beginning your journey back to Kuala Lumpur.

After dinner, meet your driver and relax in your private vehicle for the return journey to Kuala Lumpur.

You will be dropped off at your hotel, completing your Malacca evening experience.
