Start with a land session to learn the theory, setting up the wing, safety, and how to fly and maneuver the wing on land. Then, head to the water to learn how to power and depower the wing, and how to sail on a non-foiling board.
After learning the basics, move on to the next stage of the lesson. Learn how to sail upwind, crosswind, and downwind, and how to turn. Then, learn how to set the foil, wing on a foilboard, and pump the wing to pick up speed.
