1. We'll pick you up at your hotel or Airbnb at 6:00 a.m.
We'll pick you up in a comfy van to kick off the day early for an adventure packed with culture and excitement.
2. We're heading to the magical town of Mitla.
On the way, you can soak in the stunning landscapes of the Oaxaca Valley and get ready for an unforgettable day.
3. At 7:00 a.m., we grab a light snack and start pedaling.
From Mitla, we head out on our bikes to the sacred caves, cruising through rural roads surrounded by nature.
4. We'll pass through the charming village of Xaaga.
We'll make a quick stop for a cultural tour and to learn a bit about the life and traditions of this local community.
5. We're heading to the sacred caves to check them out on foot.
We climb up to the rock formations where the cave paintings are, with a local expert guiding us and explaining their history and ancestral significance.
6. We head back to the van or keep pedaling — you decide.
Depending on your energy and preference, you can bike back to Mitla or hop in the van. We're flexible!
7. We're exploring the archaeological zone of Mitla with a guide.
We'll explore this awesome Zapotec site as you hear the stories, symbolism, and mysteries of its temples and Greek frets.
8. We're enjoying a local lunch in the village.
We stop to savor a typical Oaxacan meal. The schedule can be adjusted, either before or after the visit to Mitla.
9. We head back to your place in Oaxaca.
After lunch, we'll head back to your hotel or Airbnb in the van, wrapping up a day packed with history, culture, and nature.
