Day 1: Kathmandu to Masel Village
Begin with a scenic drive to Gorkha, stopping for a local lunch. Continue with a rugged 4WD Bus ride to Masel Village. Meet your host family and settle into their traditional mud and stone home. In the evening, join family chores like feeding goats and cows, collecting firewood, and helping cook dinner.

Day 2: Deep Village Immersion
Wake up early to fetch water from the spring. Spend the morning cutting grass on the hillsides with your host, bundling and carrying it back for livestock. In the afternoon, assist with farming tasks like weeding fields, planting crops, or repairing terraces. In the evening, milk cows or goats and share stories over chia (tea).

Day 3: Live as a Nepali Villager
Spend the day fully integrated into village life. Grind grains on a stone mill, make fodder for animals, harvest vegetables from the family’s garden, and learn to spin wool or weave baskets. Enjoy meals of daal-bhaat (lentils and rice) prepared together.

Day 4: Nepali Village Cooking Day
Collect ingredients like wild greens, millet, and spices from the garden. In the afternoon, cook on a wood-fired chulo (clay stove), preparing dishes like dhido (millet porridge), gundruk (fermented greens), and aloo tama (bamboo shoot curry). Feast with the host family and neighbors in the evening.

Day 5: Farewell and Return to Kathmandu
Complete final chores in the morning, like milking animals and packing fodder. Participate in a farewell ceremony with your host family before driving back to Kathmandu, stopping for lunch en route. Receive a handwoven doko (bamboo basket) as a farewell gift from your host.
