We Ashmita Trek & Tours offer Darjeeling Tonglu two two-day trek for the best ever experience with excellent panoramic views of Mt Kanchenjunga and Everest family range that are absolutely spectacular within a short span of two days. What you can expect besides the views of mountains is a mesmerising view of a valley from above the mountain which is absolutely breathtaking you can also explore the culture and tradition of the local people of the mountain. If the weather permits then one can witness the landscapes of two different countries (India and Nepal) from the border, where on one side we see a beautiful forest area and at the other side there are village settlements.
Trek Itinerary :
Day 01 : From Darjeeling, you will drive to a small village called Dhotrey & Trek to Tonglu 2 hours drive, trek 6km :
In the morning at 9am our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Darjeeling to our office location. Then you will drive down to a small village called Dhotrey via Manebhanjyang. Dhotrey is located at an altitude of 8,500ft. It takes about 2.5 hours to reach Dhotrey from Darjeeling by car. Your trek will start from here through a deep forest and beautiful rhododendron trees welcome you to enter into next place called Tonglu. The Distance from Dhotrey to Tonglu is 6 kms. Tonglu is located at an altitude of 10,130ft. On a clear day, you get magnificent views of Kanchenjunga snow peaks from Tonglu. Overnight stay
Day 02 : Tonglu to Chitrey via Megma, 10Kms
Early wake-up for a sunrise view from Tumling Top. Weather permitting you will get fabulous views of both Singalila and Chola ranges and of Mount Kanchenjunga. Return to Tumling for breakfast and after breakfast take the trail through the Singalila National Park – via Gairibas and later trek to Tumling via Jaubari. After your lunch at Tumling it is all downhill trek towards Chitrey. You will pass by small villages along the way like Meghma (about 4kms from Tumling) and Lamhaydhura (further 3kms). Your final destination is Chitrey which is another 3kms away. at Chitrey we meet our driver then return to Darjeeling.

What should we carry?
Trekkers must carry 2 Each person a copy of their Passport and India Visa for International Guest along with their original passport and India visa and domestic guests need Valid ID like an Aadhar card / Election card / or Indian passport for entry at forest check posts on the trek.
