Step into a large lavvo and embark on a magical journey through Sami storytelling, performed by Sami people in traditional dress, known as kofte. Experience the fascinating art form of joik, which conveys culture and tradition in a moving way.
Warm up in the atmospheric lavvo with campfire coffee and a selection of hot and cold drinks. This is a unique opportunity to get up close to Sami history, culture, and traditions in a pleasant and warm atmosphere.
If you need transportation from Tromsø (extra cost), the Arctic Route departs at 9:00 AM from Tromsø bus terminal (Prostneset). Look for the Arctic Route bus heading towards Storslett. The journey takes you through beautiful Arctic landscapes before arriving at Lyngskroa around 10:30 AM.
Return departure is at 4:10 PM, arriving back in Tromsø at 5:35 PM. If you travel with Arctic Route to visit, you’ll have approximately 2.5 hours of free time after lunch. Relax in the cozy lounge, explore the surrounding area, take a short hike up to Oterbakken, or enjoy some fun sledding in the snow.

We recommend traveling to Lyngskroa with Best Arctic, offering comfortable and reliable transportation in the region.
From December 1st, a bus departs daily at 9:00 AM from Prostneset Terminal, and tickets can be purchased in Prostneset or directly on the bus.

Please note: Transportation is only available from December 1st. Guests visiting before this date must arrange their own transport to Lyngskroa.
The meeting point is at Lyngskroa, where Best Arctic will stop directly outside the venue. Look for the traditional troll near the main road. Your guide will be waiting to welcome you, often dressed in traditional Sami clothing, making them easy to recognize.
