Day 1:

Be picked up from your accommodation in a nearby town (like Dar es Salaam or Bagamoyo) and transferred to Saadani National Park. The drive itself can be an adventure, offering glimpses of rural Tanzanian life. Upon arrival, check into your chosen accommodation, which can range from comfortable lodges to tented camps, often located near the beach or within the park.

After settling in, embark on your first game drive. Saadani is unique as it's the only national park in Tanzania bordering the Indian Ocean. This means you might spot wildlife like elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species with the ocean as a backdrop.

After the game drive, return to your accommodation for dinner. Many lodges offer stunning views, allowing you to relax and enjoy the sounds of the African bush.

Day 2:

Start the day with a boat safari on the Wami River. The river teems with life: hippos wallowing in the water, crocodiles basking on the banks, and a wide array of bird species, including the elusive African fish eagle. The boat safari offers a different perspective on the park's wildlife and landscapes.

After the boat safari, have another game drive, perhaps focusing on areas you didn't explore on the first day. This gives you another chance to spot wildlife and enjoy the unique coastal environment.

In the late afternoon, depart Saadani National Park and be transferred back to your starting point.
