Travel the full Seven Lakes Route with a local guide who brings the Patagonian Andes to life — Mapuche heritage, native forests, and hidden lakes included. You'll be picked up directly from your central accommodation in San Martín de los Andes at 9 AM in a comfortable Sprinter van, ready for a full day on Ruta 40.
The road hugs Lago Lácar and winds through forests of lenga, ñire, and coihue. After passing Mapuche communities, you'll reach the Pil-Pil viewpoint over the Chapelco range, then stop at the curious Arroyo Partido — a stream whose waters flow to both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
The journey continues past Lago Machónico, Cascada Vullignanco, and the Villarino, Falkner, and Escondido lakes, the latter famous for its emerald-green water. You'll cross Lago Correntoso before arriving in Villa La Angostura, with free time to lunch at the Mercado or walk Bahías Mansa and Brava and the Quetrihué isthmus.
In the afternoon, discover Puerto Manzano and Lago Nahuel Huapi before returning to San Martín de los Andes, closing the day with fresh views of the Andean landscape. Runs daily, year-round.
