Arequipa: Experience the adventure at the Pillones Waterfall and Stone Forest

Enjoy a full day from Arequipa visiting the imposing Pillones Waterfall and the enigmatic Stone Forest. Andean landscapes, natural formations, and adventure all in one tour.
Our tour kicks off super early, between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m., when we pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa. Once the group is together, we'll set off to start a day full of natural landscapes, history, and adventure.

The first stop will be in the town of Pampa de Arrieros, an iconic place that in the past served as the main entrance to the white city for travelers arriving by train. Here, we'll learn a bit more about the importance of this historic spot before continuing our tour.

Later, we'll head to Patahuasi, where we'll enjoy a continental breakfast to recharge and get ready for the day's adventure. After this brief gastronomic break, we'll continue on our way to the Stone Forest of Puruña, a surprising natural attraction formed by strange columns and rock figures shaped by time and erosion. This place invites you to let your imagination run wild and enjoy a unique environment; we'll have around 40 minutes to explore it and take spectacular photos.

Our next experience will be the Pillones Waterfall, one of the most impressive natural attractions in the region. To get there, we'll need to pack warm clothes, as the altitude exceeds 4,000 meters above sea level, where the cold is really felt. From the starting point, you'll begin a 30-minute descent along a rocky and demanding trail, skirting a river until you reach the final destination.

Upon arrival, you'll find the majestic Pillones waterfall, surrounded by huge rocks and a stunning Andean landscape. Here, you'll have about 45 minutes to admire the place, enjoy the sound of the water, and snap the best postcard-worthy photos of this unique experience. After the visit, we'll start the return walk along the same ascent route, calmly and cautiously.

On the way back, we'll stop again in Patahuasi, this time to enjoy a delicious local lunch, share our experiences, and recharge before heading back to the city.

Finally, between 4:30 and 5:00 pm, we'll arrive at the historic center of Arequipa, where our tour ends, dropping you off near the Plaza de Armas.
