Arequipa: Colca Valley and Condor Viewpoint 2 Days/1 Night

This excursion to the Colca Valley allows you to see the beauty of the canyon and the Andean condors of the area; also to appreciate the different volcanoes and camelids during the trip.
The Colca Valley is located in the northeastern end of the department of Arequipa, in the province of Caylloma; it is an Andean territory that has natural and cultural heritage, with impressive scenery, such as the National Reserve Salinas and Aguada Blanca, artistically elaborated terraces with its rivers, mountains and ravines, diversity of flora and fauna and different attractions to know.

Day 1: Arequipa – Chivay
This tour begins with pickup from your accommodation in the city of Arequipa to head to the Colca Valley.
During our trip we will pass through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve to make a stop at the Patapampa viewpoint.
Then we arrive in the traditional town of Chivay.
In the evening we will go to visit the Calera thermal baths to enjoy their medicinal properties.
We return to the town of Chivay to have an evening tasting local flavors and observing typical dances.

Day 2: Chivay – Maca – Yanque – Arequipa
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel and continue the tour.
We arrive at the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint to observe the flight of the condors.
We will observe the crater of the Colca Canyon, later, we will return to Chivay making the following stops: Maca Town with residents who will let us know their traditions.
• Followed by the Yanque town, we return to Chivay to have lunch and say goodbye and return to Arequipa, thus ending our tour.
