Embark on an exciting 2-day adventure to conquer the Misti Volcano. This rugged excursion is ideal for active travelers looking for an immersive nature experience in Arequipa. You’ll ascend this majestic peak with a local guide, witnessing spectacular scenery. Day 1 begins with a hike to base camp, where you’ll rest before the final push to the summit. Wake up early on day 2 to begin the climb to the summit, where panoramic views await. Explore a part of Peru most tourists miss Feel safe with a guide on hand at all times Enjoy a small group of up to eight people Make the experience easier by bringing only the essentials. Day 1 Arequipa - Base Camp 1 stop Misti Volcano At 8:00 am you’ll be picked up from your hotel in the city of Arequipa. The drive takes one and a half hours to 3,400 meters, where we’ll begin the hike. The climb will take approximately six hours to base camp, located at 4,665 meters. During the hike you will be able to observe the flora and fauna of the place, such as cacti and different birds. When we arrive at the camp we will prepare our tents and eat. This day ends with a beautiful sunset. You must bring: -Lunch and snacks -Hiking shoes -Headlamp -Sleeping bag -5 liter water bottle -60 liter backpack -Canas -Tips 8 hours Accommodation: Camping equipment (flashlight, tent) Food: Dinner Day 2 Base Camp - Summit - Return to Arequipa 1 stop Misti Volcano After breakfast at 3 in the morning we begin the ascent to the summit slowly for approximately six hours until the summit at 5,825 meters. From here you can see the Chachani, Pichu Pichu volcanoes, the Aguada Blanca National Reserve and a beautiful panoramic view of the city of Arequipa. After observing the landscape, resting and taking pictures, we will return to base camp, making the return fun and easy. After a snack and a short break, we will descend for two more hours to 3,400 meters. Here the car will be waiting for us to take us back to the city of Arequipa and to our hotels. Arrival will be at approximately 16:00. 8 hours Accommodation: Not included Meals: Breakfast
