FROM AREQUIPA: 2-DAY TOUR IN THE COLCA CANYON WITH 3-HOUR HIKE

Discover the Colca Canyon on a 2-day adventure, with an optional 3-hour hike from the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint to the village of Cabanaconde. We'll pass by different viewpoints.
Day 1.- We'll pick you up from your hotel between 7:00 and 7:30 in the morning. So we can head to Cabanaconde. We'll stop at different attractions along the way. Our first stop is Tocrapampa, where you can spot South American camelids like llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas living freely in the mountains. Our second stop is in Patahuasi, where we'll have a short break. You can use the restrooms, and we'll also enjoy a coca tea to help with the altitude at the next viewpoint. Our third stop is the volcano viewpoint, where you can enjoy the view of the volcanic chain of southern Peru, including Misti, Chachani, Sabancaya, Ampato, and others. Next, we'll make our fourth stop in the village of Coporaque for lunch at a local family's home. After lunch, we'll head to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint. From there, we'll have a three-hour walk to the village of Cabanaconde. During this walk, we'll pass by different viewpoints, such as the Tapay viewpoint and the Sanmiguel viewpoint. We'll arrive in Cabanaconde at about 5:00 in the afternoon. We'll settle into our hotel, then enjoy dinner. After dinner, we'll spend the night.
Day 2
We'll have breakfast, then head to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. We'll stop there for an hour to enjoy the flight of the condor and the view from the main viewpoint of the Colca Canyon. Then, we'll continue the tour until we reach the Antahuilque viewpoint, where you'll enjoy the view of the pre-Inca terraces of the Colca Valley. Then we'll continue and stop at the Chacapi (Yanque) hot springs, where we'll spend about an hour. Then we'll head to Chivay to a restaurant for lunch and then continue our trip to the city of Arequipa. We'll arrive in Arequipa around 5:00 p.m. The tour wraps up two blocks from the Plaza de Armas.
This tour is special and unique for the following reasons.
We'll visit exclusive viewpoints, avoiding mass tourism. Tapay viewpoint and Sanmiguel viewpoint.
We'll have our first lunch in the traditional village of Coporaque at a local family's house.
We'll take a unique 2-hour hike along an ancient path, passing through different natural viewpoints of the Colca Canyon.
We'll sleep in the village of Cabanaconde, unlike the conventional tours that offer to sleep in Chivay.
